Over the next five years Eastlands Homes plans to carry out another 8,000 improvements to properties in Openshaw, Beswick and Clayton.
This is in addition to the 14,000 improvements that have already been completed since the original transfer in September 2003.
After consultation with the Investment Panel and other local residents, work started in April on the following improvements:
- Bathrooms
- Rear fencing
- Heating
- Continuation of Rendering
- Rewiring
Other areas that will be considered as part of the programme include roofing, improved security, internal doors, lighting, structural, parking, roads / traffic issues, environmental / greenery and trees.
The major improvement work due to be delivered between April 2008 and March 2009 will be in these areas:
- Bathrooms in Beswick
- Fencing in Clayton
- Heating replacement & structural work in Openshaw
But don't worry; all customers will receive these improvements – where they are required - over the next five years.
These decisions have been made in partnership with our tenants, based on what they see as the greatest need.
